Multi-instrumentalist Fergal Scahill is one of the most renowned fiddlers in Irish music today. He is most widely know as the fiddler in award winning band We Banjo 3 but his career has spanned over 20 years, performing thousands of shows in over 30 countries world wide.

In 2017 Fergal set him a challenge; to record and share a fiddle tune-a-day on social media for the 365 days of the year. The response from all over the world has been overwhelming, with the video’s gaining over 5.5 million views and naturally generating a sense of sharing and good will from the simple transmission of Irish tunes.

Fergal’s musical life started at the age of 5 on stage in Galway with folk theatre, “Siamsa” and he hasn’t been far from the stage since.

An accomplished musician on many instruments, he has won All-Ireland titles on Fiddle, bodhrán, guitar and drums.

Aside from live performance, Fergal is in high demand as a recording artist having contributed to over 40 albums to date.
Over the years he has performed with the likes with Frankie Gavin, Kevin Crawford, Máirtín O'Connor, The Brock McGuire Band, The David Munnelly Band, Ragus, Celtic Legends, Monto & Stockton's Wing.

His two solo albums, ‘The Dusty Bridge’ and ‘Wayfaring’ were met with critical acclaim;
“a superb talent with real soul and depth” “music that’s full of vitality, enthusiasm, conviction and playfulness”
